On my Acid Pro 6.0,when I playback the track that I stretched the tempo on, the track sounds doubled. Sometimes, the snare sounds doubled. It sounds
doubled every other bar.

This is the natural echo in the room being stretched so far that it’s now noticeable. It means you are stretching the tempo too far for that loop.

JohnnyRoy, is any way to resolve this issue? I had to stretch instrumental audio track that far so I could match it pefectly with an acapella track. The whole project sounds on time; however, it's just that the snare/clap sounds like it's doubled every other bar.

If there isn't a way, I might have to go back to Acid Pro 5.0

On an ending note, thanks for your help, JohnnyRoy.

Right click on an instance of the clip that is problematic on the timeline and choose "Clip Properties". In the window that opens, click the "Stretch" tab.

You'll have to experiment with the stretch settings to see if you can improve your clip's sound at the tempo you're using. First, make sure the Beat Markers are correctly placed.

For help on the different settings press Shift-F1 then on the field you need help with. You'll get basic info on the setting. You can also call the help window (press F1) and do a search on "stretch". You can also look at the PDF manual where stretching properties are explained starting at the bottom of page 114.

Once you have edited the settings, click on the "Save" button at the top right to save the actual file with the new "Acidized" metadata you just editied.

I'm just starting to explore these areas of Acid myself so hopefully someone more knowledgeable will be able to offer more specific tips to help alleviate your problem.

HTH!
