ok, I'm using the Digi002 as my sound card to record in ACID Pro 6. I want to use a nice preamp/EQ I have (http://taylorguitars.com/technology/k4/) for both acoustic guitar and vocals. Here's what someone said so far: <<Looks like it has a built in mic pre of Neve design. Use that. Probably sounds better anyway. Mic into the K4, K4 into an 002 line in. The 002's hardware inserts can only be used through the software, and that would give you double latency, probably unacceptable. Don't know Acid very well, but the last time I used it, I didn't notice any kind of mixer with inserts, which is what you'd need, assuming you were willing to live with double latency.>> Does ACID's mixer have inserts? Double latency sounds formidable. Can I nix the latency and use this great box in ACID? How? Thanks! Rick |

I also think that it is much easier to record with the K4 as "someone" said :D But there is one way you can handle it. If you select a hardware out in a mixing bus and send your signal out and record the input again to another track. -> the problem of the latency rests, i don't think there is a latency correction for hardwareinserts, but you can simply adjust the recorded track. |
