Subject:Crash after render

Very specific problem here, I only started having this problem with Acid Pro 6.0a yesterday, and I didn't install any new software or anything like that that might set off the system.

Acid will run just fine no matter how long I leave it up, but if I render and switch to a different window during or at any point after the render, Acid crashes with a rewire.dll error. I've tried updating rewire and even removing all occurrences of rewire.dll from my system, but it still crashes. Any ideas what could be going on?

The Rewire error dialog is just an occurance and does not indicate the cause other than a crash internally has occured completely unrelated to Rewire.

Are you using MIDI tracks in the project?
Does the project contain any third party plugins or VST Instruments?
Are you using external MIDI ports/devices?
Are you using ASIO, Wave Classic, or the Mapper as your audio device type?

In the General Pref of ACID, disable "Close Audio and MIDI ports..."

Does the problem still occur?

Peter

Thanks for the help, but I just realized what might have caused the problem to begin with. I recently switched audio drivers from my Surround Sound Mapper to my M-Audio Transit ASIO drivers. I switched back and the problem is gone! Thanks for helping me notice that!
