Quanitze to Frames Question

I've been using Vegas since 3.0 and today I made the mistake for about 10 minutes of footage of having the quantize to frames turned off, since the previous project was largely audio and I was shifiting audio events on the timeline and then forgot to reengage the quantize button.

So my question is simply this: Why would you ever want quantize to frames turned off for video events?

I can see the logic for audio events, but why for video? Someone please enlighten me.

Thanks!

Hmmmm, it would be rare, but there may be some cases. One i can think of is if your source frame rate doesn't match the project frame rate, and you have a spot in your video were the frame resampling just comes out ugly, you could shift the video a tiny amount to change how it gets resampled, or at least where the resampling hits full frames and where it's pulling from multiple frames.

Other than that, probably no reason.
