Two different problems.

I've already looked at the tutorials. I have BFD installed on my computer whose operation is based on MIDI files. Ideally, I'd like to be able to create my own MIDI drum beats in ACID just to make sure everything lines up, then flesh them out with BFD later. I just don't know how. I guess what I'm asking is if ACID has a MIDI sequencer or whatever. I'm using XMC.

Also I tried loading some of the MIDI drum loops that come with BFD and I can't figure out how to make them work on channel 10 (the drum synth channel). Any help?

Thank you

Also I'm having wicked latency problems. Is there anyway to change the audio driver?

XMC allows you to change the MIDI channel of a track using the Track Properties General Tab.

ACID XMC does not permit editing of MIDI data, so you will need to upgrade to at least ACID Music Studio to be able to create MIDI sequences from scratch.

Please fill out your system specs in your profile.

What type of latency issue are you having?

XMC does not support ASIO, and you cannot change the audio hardware to use.

For what it sounds like you are doing you, should consider upgrading to ACID Music Studio 6.0, if not ACID Pro 6.0.

There is a .076 second delay when recording. I had the free version of ACID installed, and it worked just fine. Then I installed Fruity Loops, uninstalled free ACID, and installed expensive ACID. Now I'm having the recording delay.

$70 ACID has a MIDI sequencer?

Please fill out your system specs. This would be helpful in determine what may be wrong.

I don't know what you mean by $70 ACID.

ACID XMC, Music Studio, and Pro all can sequence MIDI at various levels and features.

ACID XCM : basically a GM file playback. You can control previously authord MIDI files in XMC. You have simple control over channel, vol, and pan per MIDI channel. You cannot record MIDI.

Music Studio: Permits you to create MIDI sequences from scratch. Proviceds both a Piano Roll editor and List Editor. ASIO support, Wave Driver support, record MIDI, use VST Instruments and FX, etc, etc. (You could connect BFD right in to Music Studio.)

ACID Pro: The whole new multitrack DAW and MIDI Sequencer. Too much to list here.

My guess is that you need Music Studio at the very least to do the kinds of things
