Subject:Sound Forge 7 Plugin Manager Posted by: Reece Date:7/10/2006 8:59:54 PM Hi, I am new to Sound Forge (worked with Wavelab) and wonder if there is a better way of displaying the Plugins such as Noise Reduction 2? The plugin manager tries to attach itself to the sides when moving it around, I would prefer just having a small box to one side, even then the box (due to trying to snap to the sides) gets distorted on its left side until I close it. Is there a fix? Any help would be appreciated. Many Thanks, Reece.

This will tell SF not to dock the window. Also, you might want to check out my Sound Forge 8 Power book (it's also good for SF7 users). This is checked by default. If you uncheck that, then none of the floating Windows will dock when you move them around the screen. But then if you decide you want a Window to dock then you do like Scott mentioned and you hold the CNTRL key while dragging the Window. So if you uncheck that box, it works in the reverse order of what Scott outlined. So pick which method works for you best. Usually I set Sound Forge up to dock the windows that I want docked in a certain location, then I disable the automatic docking, so that windows I don't normally have docked like the plugin manager doesn't dock, when I drag it around the screen. Hi Reece,

When dragging the Plug-In Manager (or any of the other SF windows around), hold down the CTRL key on your computer keyboard. This will tell SF not to dock the window.
