Subject:MIDI CC problem

I have 26 MIDI tracks, assigned to 4 iterations of VST KONTAKT player. 8 tracks per player and two on the last player. The issue is one of Mod Wheel. I have manually entered a mod wheel (CC #!) into each track with a value of between 100 and 55. When I press playback from the edit or piano roll list everything works as expected. However, once I go into the ACID normal window view and playback the tracks, the sound is all muted... unless... I 'tweak the KNOTAKT player's mod wheel. In order to hear all 26 tracks, that means I must select 26 intsruments and tweak the mod wheel for each.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get the entire piece to playback?

Thanks,
Mike

The edit list or clip props piano roll will not automatically update CC msgs to the main time line. So, when you edit/add Mod msgs to either of these editors they will not be added automatically to the main timeline.

You must merge the CC msgs into a track by right clicking on the track event and selecting "Create Envelopes from Clip".

The preferred method is to use envelopes on the tracks vs editing CC msgs in the clip props list editor or piano roll.

Note also that envelopes on a track DO NOT write CC data into a clip.

Yes, we know this is a bit unexpected. We are looking at a way to lock CC msgs between clips editors and the main timeline.

Excellent! Thank you, Peter. This is, by far, much better than my 'intuited' method and works for me.
