Subject:Acid Pro 6 - sync to DVD in timeline?

I have a short film to score and have been given it on what looks like a standard DVD without any sync or timecode.

Is there anyway that ACid can import a standard DVD so that i can sort of line up the DVD with my music (i know there's no timecode or frames, )

Just a general start/stop of the DVD with the music would help, can this be done?

I try to import the DVD but it says i need the Sony MPEG plug in, but have since been told that the MPEG won't really help with a DVD?
