Subject:Can't register the .mp3 plugin

I reinstalled SF 8.0d after a hard drive crash. After a few days, I got the message that I had run out of uses on my .mp3 encoder, and needed to register it. But when I click on the Register button, nothing happens at all, and the .mp3 functions are still not restored.

Any suggestions?

Get a message off to Sony Support while hoping someone here has solved that problem. At least the Sony email will eventually get back to you.

I'm not sure if this is related, but I used my "batch converter" for the first time the other day (from SF6) and the web registration failed. I had to call it in and they did it over the phone (acknowledging the web registration wasn't functioning properly). My problem may have been because my product predated the Sony conversion, but you may have to call in for manual registration.
