I would like the ability to add or view custom RIFF chunks/lists in an open file in Sound Forge using the scripting interface, for example the new Broadcast chunk or my own user-defined data. I believe this is most probably not possible at the moment, but feel free to prove me wrong :) If not, then I would like to submit this as a feature request for a future scripting sdk release. Thanks, Richard. |

This isn't something that you can do through Sound Forge right now. Although nothing prevents you from opening the .WAV file directly and parsing the RIFF chunks yourself. Of course to WRITE custom RIFF, you would have to save and close the File in Sound Forge, then open it up with the script and append custom chunks. We will put this as a request for some future version of Sound Forge. tj |
