Subject:acid pro 6 will not start Posted by: kito Date:6/20/2006 3:42:49 PM heyyyy everyone i been working with acid pro 4 & 5 and its been good and a few days ago i purchase the acid pro 6 UPDATE,after installing the upgrade the program will not start,,i get an error message the aplication has encountered a fatal exception and will close..i cant use acid 5 or the 6,,i try a bunch of things like unistalling the program and installing again,,i spoke to tech support and they cant seam to resolve my problem. im running windows xp pentium 4 1ghz,512mb ,my sound card its m-audio audiophile 100gig hd for audio and a 15gig hd for sofware,,and i dont work with any video..can anyone help me????

Have you got any other music software installed? 3. Did you use any plug-ins in version 4 or 5 4. Have you installed the latest service packs? 5. What directx have you got installed? 6. Did you install the upgrade over version 5? 7. Did you install the upgrade after uninstalling the earlier versions? 8. Do you use any third party vst's, freeware, shareware or retail? 9. etc.. ACID PRO 6A STARTS AND WORKS PERFECT..THE PROBLEM WAS MY WINDOWS XP,,I REFORMAT AND REINSTALL EVERYTHING FROM SCRATCH..I TOOK ME LIKE 5HRS BUT IT WAS WORTH IT..NOW ITS COOL AND GOOD TO GO!!!!! BUT IM STILL BUYING PRO TOOLS!!!!!!
