1- SF8 does not show my VSTs
-Is there a way to BROWSE or SCAN etc...for them?

2- When I save an MP3 file [or edit], a silence is added at start & end.

Thanks.

VSTs: Go to Options> Preferences> VST Effects> Browse and select the Default or Alternate VST folders. VST effects files have a *.dll extension.

MP3s: Unfortunatly this is normal. A silent space is always added the the head and end of an MP3 file.

Thanks !!

Why didn't I think of that?

-I don't think SF6 inserted silence to MP3 files...Oh well...

I have only owned SF8 for a couple of months but have made 3 mp3 files from it mixing down an audio mix from wave to mp3 and it did not insert any silences at the beginning or end of those mp3 conversions. I registered it so I can get the unlimited mp3's and tech support etc. and I have to say, I really like the options for mp3, so far it has worked really well and saves me from having to import a mix back into cubase sx and burn the mp3 from there.
