How do I get my keys hooked up to Kompakt and Acid 6.0? Don't want to purchase the incorrect gear... I currently jack into my mixer to record keys and have an Echo Gina between my mixer and computer, but how do I get this sampler involved? Thanks. |

You didn’t say which Echo Gina you have and your system specs are empty. If you have the Echo Gina G3 then all you need to do is plug the MIDI out your MIDI keyboard into the MIDI in of the Echo Gina G3 and then in ACID go into the Options > Preferences > MIDI and make sure you select the Echo Gina G3 MIDI as an input device. You should then be able to play Kompakt from your MIDI keyboard. If you have an older Echo Gina 24, it doesn’t have MIDI so you need to buy a MIDI port like a Midiman 2x2 or something. ~jr Message last edited on6/14/2006 4:38:40 PM byJohnnyRoy. |

"will a M-Audio USB MIDIsport 1x1 MIDI Interface work? " Can't see why not. If you have one, download the Acid 6 trial and test it out. You won't get Acid Kompakt, but you can download the trial version of NI Kompakt from the NI site and test that as well. |
