Alright, so here goes. I can't bring up my piano roll, thus no MIDI. Now, before everyone stars asking about "did you make sure this was checked?" or "Are you sure you know what you're doing?", the answer is "Yeah, yeah, yeah. I've done all that shit already". The problem lies in some weird mystery code that Sony inserts into the "Internal Preferences" section that's well hidden inside their Preferences selection on the menu bar. But, in order to get there, you gotta hold down the "Shift" key and then select "Preferences. This takes you to another myster menu where there's a whole bunch of weird codes that I have no idea what they mean. The ones I'm having issues with, are Opt View 1 and Opt View 2, where the information under the Value column is simply filled with "0's" So, I'm looking for the correct strings to fill in because mine are all "0's" and because of that Acid jsut quits working. Of course, Acid just magically, mystically, mysteriously decides to reset those numbers for whatever reason, and here we are. |

I think you've opened a pandora's box there. Maybe Sony can explain these 'Internal' settings... |

Yeah, the Clip properties shows up in the bottom section, right next to the mixer. Anyways, a buddy of mine and I scoured through that menu list to see if anything was different between the two. And, those are the only things that I can find. Funny thing is, I didn't change them. I didn't even know about that menu until last night. |

Quit ACID (and quit taking it too, if you are ;) ) Hold down the Ctrl & Shift keys while launcing ACID again. This will reset everything back to the original installation defaults, including screen layouts, midi functions, and internal preferences. Don't touch the internal preferences again. |

I'll try it. I never touched the internal preferences. I just opened them up to see what was different between his settings and mine. |

Thanks. That worked. Any idea what could've caused that to happen? |
