Subject:my loop cd's stutter as they are auditioned

Hey does anyone know what to do about a cd drive that seems to be over used by using loop cd's. It seems as I audition a cd the drive stutters and seems to take longer and makes a terrible noise as it auditions with the automatic play button turned on.

I think most of us copy our loop CDs to our hard drive first. I have a separate drive for media.

It is standard practice to copy yoor loop libraries to a hard drive. I have all my loop libraries (about 45GB worth) copied to an external 120GB firewire HD. It is my dedicated "Loops" drive.
