Acid 6a continues to crash a project I made using acid 5. Could be a plug in, I guess. Are there any other options? Have you tried saving the project under a new name (which would preserve your original project), then removing any and all plug-ins and seeing if the problem persists? Iacobus |

What plug-ins are you using on that project? I have had similar issues where AP5 projects crash AP6 without fail. I was eventually able to deduce that my Antares Filter plugin on the project was the problem. Once I'd remove that plugin, it would play back fine. |

Thank you both for your replies. I went ahead and did a fresh install of windows and had the same rewire error again. However, I followed your advice and ripped out all the plug ins (at this stage - only sony/acid ones) and it's stable. Obviously, I'd like to track down the culprit/s because I need to use plugins. Interestingly, on the original crashy version if I turned off track buffering it became more stable all though still sonically rough. Does that point to a specific type of plug in? I'm using Pitch control both plug in and from track properties; reverb; track compressor; graphic eq; occasionally a noise gate - smooth/enhance - chorus. thanks again, martin7 |
