Subject:Best control surface for AP6 ?

Any opinions on what control surfaces work best with AP6 ?

I record maybe 95% of material into AP6 as audio clips, so something with that in mind would be ideal.

Any suggestions very welcome.

Frontier transport looks OK. Anything better ?

M-Audio ProjectMix I/O work just like a charm with Acid. It's really impressive.

I'm working on a addendum for it : a "Quick Start" guide (or how to hook up Acid & ProjectMix in a few clicks, and on a "Button functions" guide (or what does this button do ?).

I'll keep you guys up

my cheepo behringer bcf works perfect using mackie emulation.

I'm thinking of getting another.

it's the best bank for the buck unless you want to spend 300-500 bucks more just to get touch sensitivity and scribble strips.

coolout, can you use the behringer for basic transport controls ? Also arming a track and recording audio ?

sure you can...the only thing is that most of the buttons have double or triple duty.

there's no dedicated record button. you gotta hold shift and select a track to arm it ... then hold shift and press the play button to record.

they don't make plastic overlays for the BCF (although there are templates) so I found the quickest workaround was to just buy a labeler from the office supply store.

it took a bit of time and effort to sit there and label 16 buttons but it was a great way for me to learn the functions of the surface.

still it's way more that what I expected for 200 bucks.
