Hi guys,
As some of you will remember, I had major installation issues with Acid Pro 6, so I thought I'd post a couple of quick questions about the Kompakt install.
I didn't install it initially, but I want to now, so my questions are, should I download the 6.0a update first?
Does it matter either way?
Can I expect any issues installing Kompakt seperately, instead of with the Acid install?
Finally... :) How is the registration process, Is it a challenge response, or is it pretty simple.
Maybe it's obvious, but I'm a little gun shy regarding these installs.
The last one was a literal nightmare, and I would do without, before going through anything like that again.
My PC is Pent 4, 2.8 ghz, 1 gig RAM, 200gig 7200 HD.
Plenty of free disk space.
TIA.
Regards,
Stephen

It doesn't matter when you install the Kompakt plugin. May as well wait until after you install the 6.0a update, but either way it will work.

Registration is straightforward...IF you've never registered a Kompakt product before. I had the Kompakt plugin for Acid 5, never used it and forgot my password to log on to the Kompakt site. When I went to register the new Kompakt plugin for Acid 6, my lack of password made a complete mess of the registration. The Kompakt people display enormous paranoia in their registration process. And it took them about 5 days to respond to me and help me to finish the registration. But it works now.

So, if you've never registered the Kompakt plugin, no problems. But SAVE YOUR PASSWORD. Because for any upgrades, patches or future releases you'll need it in order to re-register.

Kompakt will install separately from Acid Pro 6.as well as with Acid Pro 6.

The most important point to remember with Kompakt is you are allowed activation on any two machines. If you have activated it for 2 PC’s and you want to activate it on another 3rd PC, you will have to deactivate 1 of your PC’s by login into your account at www.native-instruments.com. Important point here is, once you deactivate a PC you will not be able to reactivate that particular machine again.

As for the 6.0a update, there were no problems, for me, installing before or after.
