With Acid 6a the Steinberg D'cota vsti stops working after a few minutes but only when the transport is running !

The D'cota sound cuts out, interface still functions via the mouse but the "virtual keyboard" and any midi input does not work.

Always works for 2-3 minutes then stops, I will do some more tests to try and pin point this.

I tested this plugin with FL studio an there is no problem there.

Unfortunately we cannot obtain a license of D'cota as it has been discontinued according to Stienberg/Yamaha.

No, we will do what we can to obtain a legal license and then invistigate the problem. We may be able to locate a license, but because it is out of "print", it just takes a bit longer.

It maybe out of print but not out of stock, i've seen it for sale here in the uk and in Steinbergs canadian on-line store, and i myself bought this synth only last week !

Steinberg not wanting to cooperate maybe...

Just another point about this issue, i've found that the synth has problems staying in-sync with the host, it clearly says in the D'cota manual that the "phrase module" does sync to its host, but with Acid its drifts in and out, mostly out.

But the strange thing is that is doesn't sync at all with a few other hosts i've tried (samplitude and Flstudio) and yet it does not crash with these hosts.

Update:

This is not Sony's problem.

The issue/s are caused by 1 of 2 things, its either the D'cota 1.1 update or by changing the default install directory (which i doubt), so it looks like the update which is provided on the steinberg site breaks the host tempo-sync.

Nice one Steinberg !

This is yet another example of how Steinberg (who invented the VST concept) can't stay within their own specifications. They hold by far the worst record for incompatible VST's.
