We all know that ACID does not do realtime AC-3 encoding which is a problem if you have a sound card with an SPDIF output connected to a receiver. I have a SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS and always wanted to be able to do surround mixes within ACID and be able to test my panning settings in real-time. Well, just today I found a small piece of software which does realtime AC-3 encoding and works quite well with ACID. I'm not sure if the forum rules would allow me to post a link but I guess you can just Google it, its called "redocnexk" It is not a perfect solution (it introduces a huge latency and sometimes it takes several tries to make it work) but hey... I can finally test my surround panning settings before rendering my projects! Hope this helps others -- I know there have been several posts from other users looking for a similar solution. |
