Subject:Multiple windows for effects in one bus?

I Have not found a way to view all the effects in one chain at the same time. LIVE5 does this, but Acid seems to only want to show one at at time. In fact, I'd like the option to leave effects of one track open whil I veiw effects in another bus or track. This is an enhancement request if there is indeed no way to do this.

I'd say if they were to add that function, definitely make it user selectable. I personally like working with minimal windows floating around, and it's annoying for me to close windows all the time. Feels like "pop-up" ads or something.

Yea, this is really needed when you’re trying to get two FX to have the same parameters. Not just in ACID but in Vegas too.

Can't you just save the effect setting and call it up in the second effect unit ? That's my normal procedure.

As for multiple windows, that would be a good preference option: Allow multiple effect windows

The upside is that it keeps the desktop simple. Perhaps these sort of things are contributors to the "Acid is easy" appeal. Chop too many out and we may all start wondering why the newer versions feel more complex.

Effects interact. For example, I like having both a track and master bus open to adjust an EQ on a track while I monitor a compressor on the master bus. Another example might be monitoring a precision limiter on the master while changing compressor parameters for a bass track. LIVE5 lets the user select in the options menu to have multiple windows or single since we each have our own preferences.

Does Live5 even have buses in it? I havn't been able to find them, closest thing I can get to it are the send/returns in which as far as I can tell, you only get two of.

They are called "return tracks" as you pointed out. They operate similar to AcidPro busses but not exactly the same. Key difference I see is ability to route outputs back to a track. I may be wrong, but have not found a way to do this in Acid as there are workarounds.
