software running thru acid-Emulator X(soon to be Emulator X2upgrade), Flstudio, all as soft synths or rewired.

You won't be able to run FL Studio as a VSTi in Acid Pro 6.0. Nor will you be able to run Jamstix or any other VSTi that requires synchronization. This is supposed to be fixed in the update. There are some other bugs, but this is the most serious one in my opinion.

Cheers,

Randy

Copying, cutting & pasting selections within selections doesn't work.

you guys are joking right? right? I know these things have serious bugs in the first few months. but wow. key features not working properly. i waited so long to avoid some of this. I guess its my fault for not beta testing it first, then complaining. then getting the correct product for purchase. maybe i do need to be on the beta testing team. when is the upgrade scheduled?

Well, it all depends what you're doing with it I guess. I'm using it almost every day and have virtually stopped using Sonar 5PE. I'd really like to be able to directly drag, or drag-copy, events between tracks, but...

I know how you feel. I upgraded to AP6 the day it was available. Was using Jamstix with Acid Music Studio 6 with no trouble whatsoever. Because the VSTis will not sync in AP6.. I am still not using my AP6.

All software comes with bugs, esp. DAW suites....I expect it. AP6 is still a blast to use, works for the most part, and lets me make the music I wanna make without having to totally "tech out".

Good music is based on an idea, not software...

I just purchased Jamstix myself. What an awesome program! I'm not a drummer and I hate trying to program realistic drums using a step sequencer. What a tedious chore. With Jamstix I can work at a much higher level - more like giving a real drummer suggestions.

Hopefully the Acid Pro 6.0 update will be out soon!

Cheers,

Randy

Agreed. Bugs are expected. Looking forward to an update. Great VSTis like Jamstix are a great jumpstart to bring a musical idea to its fruition...

I made the assumption that if the VSTi was seamless with $75 software that it would be also in the $500 software of the same family.

Live and keep learning,
Geoffrey
