Vegas 7 Feature Contest ...

ClipMan wrote on 5/25/2006, 9:19 AM
This contest is NOT a "wish list" for Vegas 7 but what you think will actually be announced as New Features in the Sony hype for V7 ... you get three (3) guesses and you only get one chance and you gotta be specific... me or somebody will dig up this thread when the time comes and the poster(s) with the most accurate predictions will be lavished with praise and given a Free Sony Acid Loop ... here's my three predictions:

1. Integrated limited version of Cinescore
2. GPU support for the latest video cards
3. "True" timeline scrubbing

Okay, here's mine:

1. Anything but an updated credit roll generator.
2. Anything but an updated text generator.
3. Anything but real-time audio FX on events.

Can you tell I'm bitter about Sony/Sonic Foundry ignoring these for several versions? ;)

True override function:
When you cover part of an event BY placing another one on top, the part of the longer event that you coverED is still under the new event.

I heard it would edit everything for you, get you a distribution deal, and do all your marketing for you, just by going to "Render As" in the file menu.

2) 64-bit support (for Vista & most likely WinXP 64)
3) Media Mngr 2 that loads faster and has previews for files not currently accessible.
