Is it possible that (any forum member) can be alerted via email when the Updates are released?

No.

However, if you leave Net Notify active in ACID 6, you will be (should be) notified when any updates are available.

I think we will get a email when people reply to this thread, so, when someone hears, post to this thread. I'd like to see if Pro 6 can be made to work before I buy it.

^ yup, it's pretty pathetic too. I don't visit that many forums, but this is the only one I've ever heard of that expects you to keep checking back to see if anyone's replied to your post. For a software-writing company, it's just laughable, except it sucks so it's not that funny.

And that's why I've begged for this forum to be moved to AcidPlanet, where they know how to send alerts. But apparently the party line is that AcidPlanet has nothing to do with AcidPro. So I wonder what that 'publish' Icon in Acid pro does...

Hi Peter, no fighting, but this only works if you go online all the time with yr DAW computer. I don't, and I don't think a lot of people do. If you can't send topic reply notices here, the least you guys could do is create a sign-up list to be notified about updates. They're a pretty big deal, and we should know as soon as bug fixes are available, as we've already paid for the product. Again, no fighting, just saying : )

Your call to work how you want.

As long as your registered, you should also recieve a notification of updates, though I am not positive on this.

FWIW: I don't have anything to do with these forums or the software that runs on them. I would suggest you send an email to customer support if you feel that strongly about this. Click ont he "Contact Us" link at the bottom of this page. There is a link to sending an email to the web site manager.

-- I wish the forum was more advanced -- like other forums

Email, attachments, avatars, favorites and group lists.

However it does serve its purpose and it is a nice clean system.
