I've been using ACID and Vegas hand in hand for a long time. I've used both since 1.0 and had Sound Forge early on as well. Heck, I even own and use Viscosity...although not much these days. For the first time, I'm trying to do a complete audio project in Acid. Before I've used Acid to build track with various loops, then import the wavs to Vegas and record my "live" instruments and vocals there. Here is where I'm stumped, I know it is probably something simple (I hope): When I use "K" or the "Shift-T" for changing keys, it gives me quick fades on every track. I understand this use for key changing loops, but this is adding some serious audio glitches on my "one shot" or "beatmapped" audio files. Someone please help. P.S. Loading ACID would be much quicker if it didn't have to search for VSTs every freakin time it loads...is there a way to shut that off like Media Manager? |

Have you tried deselecting the "Quick fade edit of audio events" option, from the Preferences|Audio tab? Cheers, Billy Buck |

Yeah, I tried all the obvious. Even turning off quickfades in options. From pieces I've read it appears to be a bug, but no one has confirmed that. It's pretty annoying, because I'm on a time crunch to the a completed album out and to the duplicators in a couple weeks. My old work flow of back and forth between Vegas and Acid won't work and I don't have the money or time to get into a new or different program that does loops, VSTi and audio recording. However, I can pitch shift on each loop on a track by track basis. It will take much longer, but it will do the trick for now. It would be nice to be working in 6.0a though. |
