I'm putting together a loop disc of samples made by artists at Acid Planet, and some of the files I've received are at 48000hz instead of 44100hz. I'm wondering if the two file types play nice together in Acid or if any crazy dithering type stuff is required. Same goes for bitrates...I got some loops at 8-bit, some 24-bit, some 16-bit...I wanted to get everything into exactly the same format, I'm just wondering if it's worth the effort.

Thanks in advance!

Nope. That would be a huge waste of time. ACID will take almost anything you through at it and do the conversions for you. That’s one of the strongest points about ACID.

Ha, thanks JR, I'm known for huge wastes of time but I don't mind missing out on this one.

One other question: If a project uses 24-bit loops, and you render it as a 16-bit wave, do you have to use dithering?

Thanks again!
