I'd like to beatmap an old song where the timing drifts all the way through. How do I adjust the mapping so that the beatmapped song is in time all the way through? |

Beatmapper can not accomplish what you want - it only handles a fixed tempo. You need to lay out the track on the timeline as a one-shot and insert tempo markers strategically using "Adjust Tempo to Match Marker to Cursor". See: http://virtualturntable.fourstones.net/stretching-long-clips-in-live-and-acid However, note there is currently a bug in Acid Pro 6.0 where quick fades will be placed along the one-shot at each tempo marker, possibly resulting in clicks :-( Cheers, Randy |

As randygo says, not supported. This would be my BIG feature request for version 7. I am surprised it wasn't in 6, given that Acid's strength has always been the realtime timestretch/pitchshift thing. I haven't tried this, but is there any way the groove mapping tool could be used to remap a REALLY big loop (ie a whole song)? This could be the basis for a future implementation of tempo mapping. |

Thanks for your replies. It's a shame ACID doesn't have this feature yet. I think this is possible in Live. Maybe I could add warp markers in Live and then save as an ACID file? I wish there was some software that could do this and then load the file into ACID. |
