O.K....so weird things happen sometimes. Last night I couldn't render from Vegas without getting an error (oh, and wouldn't it be nice to have error details in plain English) This morning everything seemed to be renderig fine, and I am rendering right now with no problem. I had 4 Veg files of an interview. While working on Number 3 the other day, the audio was so low. I checked all the settings and couldn't figure out what happened. I know that was not the audio I heard in my headphones while taping. I had to increase the volume quite a bit to hear the couple as they spoke (had wireless lavs on them). Today I open Veg file number 3, and the sound is blasting from the other day when I had to turn it up just to hear it.

I think I am developing a twitch.

I too have been getting this error. No idea what this is but trying to render a 20 minute interview to AVI NTSC 24p and will bug out at random places during the render. I tried uninstall and reinstall vegas 6d but not avail. Please advise if there's a fix for this...bug?

Tara,
'Access violation' often mean some kind of memory issue. If you check back through this forum, you'll find odd things manifest when the the processors overheat. This usually happens with processor intensive work, such as rendering in Vegas.

If you're comfortable opening up your computer, check to see if perhaps the heatsinks/fans on your processors are clogged with dust. If so, carefully clean them out - tweezers, vaccuum cleaner etc., then see if the problem persists.

I think Grazie may have posted some pictures when he had such problems rendering MPGs from Vegas some months back.

HTH,
Tom

Do a search on this forum, using the DLL file name as the search argument. You'll find lots of information. When I just searched all the forums for:

aviplug.dll

I got 86 responses. Try it yourself, and I think you'll find a LOT of ideas, and possibly some real answers.

Here's one answer from my search, directly from Sony:
