oh an my system works well with acid 4 and perfect with every other application (excepts vegas which crashes all the time). I have a very fast p4 system with 2 gigs of ram.

On a positive note, when it does crash the "end now" button works much quicker than it used too!!!

Slapped on a buch of various random loops and audio files from various project, about 30 in total and ran smoothly.....so maybe it's just having a hard time with my older acid stuff? Has anyone else had this?

Great...now acid won't open...I freezez each time when it loads up when it gets to the part of starting database service. I'm going to cry. Old song again......

Nope...can't even start acid anymore at all....freezes each time at the same place....I'm going through a range of emotions from total hatred and thoughts of death, to thoughts of never doing music again(recurring theme when working with computers).

Just when I thought thigns might be ok....went to adjust a volume slider and bang.....
AN EROOR OCCURRED WHILE PROCESSING THE UNDO BUFFER (I DIDN'T HIT UNDO)
YOU SHOULD SAVE YOUR WORK IMMEDIATLY USING A NEW PROJECT FILENAME AND RESTART ACID PRO.

well well, clicke on "ok" and I'm still going...nothing works...

I was using my mother board sound card....will switch to my motu and see what gives.

Interesting saga Liquid - hope it settles down soon.

I would say there might well be something about your system that's contributing to this, particularly if Vegas crashes all the time for you - Vegas is just about as stable as you can get.

Ok....went throught some very large older tunes and for the last 30 min things have worked perfect!!! Oh man...so happy...going to call a night on a positive note, and hope tomorrow things stay like this!

have to say....for some stupid unexplainable reason....everything seems to be working now. I didn't change a thing. I almost feel guilty for bitching the way i did.....we'll see tomorrow....if things keep up like this, I'll owe somone an appology.

It's been a few hours now and zero problemo's....still have 2 old songs which just close when I hit play...but it turns out that these songs aren't a big big deal...however I would still like to open them up....anyway, I have calm down and on a positive note, they actually seem to sound better than they used too...is that possible?

sometimes it seems like new applications almost have to "warm up" to your computer before they start behaving right....

I guess this is what happened although I don't understand how that would be possible....but acid certainly did warm up and I'm up and running pretty good. There are some things that aren't quite right and I'm still not sure if it's me or acid since I have moved on but all in all I'm pretty happy...komplete is pretty cool and easy to use too...I might even buy kompact 3 since I don't have many vst synths.
