Subject:Cleaning up tracks in MS

I may be using this software for the wrong thing, but I was wondering how to clean up static and hiss on a voice recording I want to add to a music track.
Any thoughts?

The obvious thing is to make a better recording without static or hiss. Given that you already have this, you can use EQ to try and make it not as noticeable but you really need a noise reduction plug-in like Sony Noise Reduction 2.0 or BIAS Sound Soap 2 to really clean up a badly recorded track.

BTW, make sure your version of MS can use DirectX plug-ins before you go off any buy one. I think only ACID Music Studio 6.0 supports this.
