How do I create a 4 bar midi loop clip without any midi events in the fourth bar? Whenever I try to do this it defaults to 3 bar looping. What I want to do is assign the number of bars in a midi loop clip regardless of where the midi events are in the clip. I can't seem to find a properties tab to assign the number of bars to a loop. In fact if I want a loop that's less than a bar then how do I do that? It must be possible to have control over the length of a midi loop clip. Or is it? |

I know that if you use the Pencil tool and simply drag the rightmost edge of the event, it will give you blank space to work with. You could have a 3 bar clip and then stretch it to 4 that way. You'd have to copy and paste though to continue the pattern though. (The "paste repeat" command might come in handy here.) The same would probably apply to using less than a bar; use the Pencil Tool. You could also use the Paint Tool with the desired resolutions selected. (Remember that things work a little differently in ACID Pro 6. For example, if you set the grid resolution to "measures" and the Paint Tool's resolution to "quarter notes," an event equal to a quarter note is painted every measure.) Iacobus |
