Subject:Acid 6 bug report - rendering noise

I rendered an old Acid 5 project after some tweaks using Acid 6. The first couple seconds on the rendered track were extremely distorted on the left channel only - about +20db. Then it settled down, and the rest of the track was fine.

I didn't spend much time troubleshooting, just deleted the bad section from the intro. The track was only a demo.

Plugs I was using:
Voxengo Tube
Mr. Ray Electric Piano VSTi
Spectrasonics Plugsounds free VSTi (bass) - but I had already frozen track in 5.0. Plug is still open, though original track is muted.
Antares Autotune 3.0 (it didn't help much, LOL)

Plus some acidized drum loops etc.

I hope you're reporting these bugs directly to Sony. It seems that no one from the company is reading the bug reports here anymore.

Hmm.

The support form asks so many detailed questions (the answers to which are already on file) that I can't get through the form from work.

I came here from acidplanet cos this is where the acidplanet FAQ's directed me.

I haven't had much luck with Sony Customer Support in the past, but I'll consider it for stuff I actually need support on - like the NEXT one (3rd one) I'm gonna report today. Thanks for the heads up, though.

Important to remember that this is ONLY a users forum. Bug reports will not get where they need to be if you don't file a formal report with Sony support. For a while we were very fortunate that PCH (Peter) hung out here and offered support, asked detailed questions, and obviously did some of the reporting for us – but this was done because he wanted to help but he was not paid nor required to do so. A few people here got abusive with him and he split (I don't blame him). So if you want help from the knowledgeable users here, you MUST supply as many details as possible in your post including your system specs. And, yes, lately it appears that support response has been painfully slow. There simply isn't anything you can do about that except file a complaint about it.
