I just read in another forum a solution to the problem with the E-MU ASIO drivers where there is no sound on opening new projects. All you need to do is create a new ASIO OUT 1/2 in the PatchMix DSP and then assign it as the audio device in ACID 6. Hey Presto! Instant sound when opening any project. |

Yep, this tends to make ASIO on the EMU hardware work. There are also a lot of nice templates for Patchmix that will set up your ASIO very nicely. Oddly enough, would you believe, this is actually covered in the EMU help and manuals?!? I just got the Emulator X w/ 1212M I/o. Would you mind telling me how to set up patchmix up to do this? When I installed all the software the default in patchmix has asio out set to 31/32, somehow i manage to hear sound in all my apps, so i left it alone. I don't anticipate on luck lasting me through everything so I'd like to be prepared. If any of you would be kind enough to help a newbie out and take me through the basics of patchmix and how it actually works, I'd be greatful. |

Dave, Double-click on PatchMix icon, right-click on any strip caption and select append new strip then ok. It creates ASIO OUT 1/2. Acid Preferences/Audio device must be re-directed to ASIO OUT 1/2. |

Excellent; thanks a bunch. What a nice sounding card, I really can't get over how raw and crisp the sound is coming out of this card. I may get the Audio Dock M for the mic pre's. Message last edited on4/29/2006 9:46:15 PM byDavetheonemendez. |

I agree the card sounds great! Keep us informed how the Emu ASIO driver works out for you. I found it terribly unstable. Keep ASIO4All in mind if you have major issues. Cheers, Randy |

So far, the driver is working fine. No issues. I hover around the 9ms to 11ms latency setting. (9ms was the best I could get with the 002r when I had it) I had 5MS with the wavecenter pci which I no longer have a use for because i don't use outboard mixing gear anymore (yamaha 01v) My main application for remixing is reason 3 and this driveris working great with the E-mu 1.82 driver. No problems here whatsoever. I was able to hear sound but after I recorded I couldn't hear sound anymore. Not even on playback. I only heard the metronome; emulator x went dead after the first instance of recording. I had it set to Asio out 1/2 in options/Prefs Audio Please advise |

As I said before, the Emu ASIO driver is no good. ASIO4All is your friend. Cheers, Randy |

Is Emulator X actually usable with acid Pro 6? It crashes on me in cubase sx. And it does weird things in Acid Pro 6 which is so not a DAW. Is Asio4all the solution? How does it work with patchmix? I'm not diggin acid pro 6 as a daw and i'm not diggin emulator x as a sampler. |

Asio4all did not fix my problem. Cannot rely on Acid for this vsti, it simply does not work (i also tried it in acid pro 5 and it did not work) After 5 mins the connection between emulator x and acid are severed. |
