I just bought MS for work - to create a loop of music and custom messages for our on-hold system. I have the tracks, but cannot figure out how to even here them when I drag them into the track list. pane. I have some understanding about this, but no real background in this software. Any quick tips to get me started? Thanks. |

Three words: Drag... Drop… Paint! (don’t forget to paint!!!) ;-) You can drag and drop the loops (or double-click them) but all that does is create an empty track. You now have the drag your cursor in the track to paint the loop where you want it. Don’t fell bad, it confuses everyone at first. ~jr |

Thanks, very simple when you know how. My goal is to string together a series of songs and then lay looped recorded messages over then and then load them on our phone server. Too technical for a dumb Marketing guy! |

Another thing that may throw you is that in all versions of ACID prior to the just released Pro 6, you can only have one file per track. So, if you have, say, 15 songs and 30 messages, you'll have to add 45 tracks to the timeline. This could get a bit cumbersome as you'll end up with a lot of vertical scrolling. One thing you can do in ACID Music Studio to help alleviate this is to create the project in small parts, maybe 4 songs and 8 messages on 12 tracks for example, then render to a new WAV file. Repeat for the next section. Then when you have all the sections together you can load those new WAV files into a new project and render again to a final file containing everything. |
