Subject:Preview crash bug in 8.0d

I updated to 8.0d last week and have since been experiencing problems with real-time previewing of effects. If I open the pitch shift dialog and preview my changes, the preview will cut off after a second or so. Sometimes SF will then lock up and require force quitting. Changing the pitch shift settings in real-time seems to increase the likelihood of a crash. I have an assistant who uses a different PC, but is experiencing identical problems since the update was installed. This has caused us to lose work and time - any help much appreciated. |

we're having the same problem. with waves plugins also. preview only works for about 1 second, then there's no audio. stopping and restarting gives 1 second of audio again. using lynx two B, asio driver (most current version), on win xp pro 3.2GHz, 1GB RAM |

I have a similar problem, not seeing crashes but not getting any preview audio if the selection is less than about 1/2 second. Get partial preview audio and odd behavior for selections greater than 1/2 second. This happens with any FX plugin, including the native Sony ones. This is with an Echo layla 3G using WDM drivers. If you use the ASIO drivers it seems to work OK. I've been working with tech support on this for a while and the latest is the developers are looking at it. Rocky |
