Subject:MIDI notes getting dropped on playback

OK, so I'm just trying to record a simple MIDI track, and have it play back as played, no quantization or anything. I insert the soft synth (Sonic Syndicate Junglist), insert a new MIDI track, click the record arm button, and then hit record in the transport section. I'm recording a synth line played live that includes 16th notes, 32nd notes, and whatever. When I finish recording it, I press stop, go back to the beginning of the track and press play to hear what I've played. On playback, it sounds completely different from what I've played. Even though I can see that the sequencer captured the faster notes like the 32nds and stuff, when it scrolls over those notes to play it back, I often get notes dropped and cut off, like it's just playing back a quarter note or whatever it seems to want to do. However, if I start playback of the song right at the part where the faster notes are recorded (as opposed to the beginning of the song), it will play back the notes properly. This seems like a bug to me, unless anyone can think of anything I might be doing wrong. Either way, it should probably be looked at. And no, this isn't an isolated incident, this weirdness seems to happen every time I try to record a MIDI track. Message last edited on4/29/2006 3:36:55 PM byJ Psycle. |
