Subject:HELP. Acid 6 Midi Clock Out issue

I just recently purchased and installed Acid 6. I tend to sync a lot of external gear to Acid when running. I use Midi Clock Out through an AMT8 and all worked fine - and still does - when running Acid 5. I've mirrored my settings as best as I can, but in Acid 6, NOTHING SYNCS. All my external gear does not lock to the tempo set it Acid 6. I launch Acid 5, boom, everything runs fine and all my gear locks to tempo. Any help? I'd love to be using all the new features, but right now i'm a little pissed I spent the money on the upgrade as it's just not working for me. |

Not sure what's going on there. Just for kicks, have you tried uninstalling ACID Pro 5? I believe I read somewhere some issues were cleared up when ACID Pro 6 is alone rather than having both 5 and 6 installed. Iacobus |

mD, do you have specific examples were ACID 5 conflicts with ACID 6? ACID 5 and 6 don't interact at all at this level. (Unless they are both running at the same time and attempting to access the same MIDI or audio hardware.) In general, uninstalling ACID 5 has no affect on anything related to ACID 6. In practice, removing a working version of ACID 5 is not a good idea to attempt to trouble shoot ACID 6. The only cases where ACID 5 COULD affect ACID 6 is if it were installed AFTER ACID 6 was installed. My recommendation is not to uninstall ACID 5. We are investigating the MIDI clock issue and will post results here as soon as possiblem. Peter |
