cant see soft synths - 911!!! -ACID Product Family

Subject:cant see soft synths - 911!!! Posted by: ohmaya Date:4/26/2006 11:13:30 PM Dont know what happened all of a sudden...I can view every other window under the VIEW menu....mixer, chopper, explorer, etc except the view soft synth when I click VIEW/SOFT SYNTH PROPERTIES. I can click INSERT SOFT SYNTH and I see the synth channels come up in the bus area, but if I then choose VIEW/SOFT SYNTH PROPERTIES, I dont get either the floating soft synth window or the docked window showing the selected soft synth. This always worked before. Did I maybe click something that changed a setting? I have tried resizing the screen, closing all other windows to make sure it wasn't hiding behind something else...nothing. I am dead in the water, since I do all of my work with soft synths and can't view tham now at all. Have you maybe hidden it behind another window, or offscreen?

For FM-7 I see one output, for Kontact I see 8 outputs,. But if I need to see the synth, I can't. My Acid used to do exactly what you describe. If I went to the track, I could select the synth from the track properties, and with VIEW SYNTH PROPERTIES enabled, I could see the synth and adjust the presetss or select a patch. You can reset all of ACID's prefs by starting up ACID and holding down the Shift key. You will have to reconfigure ACID after this. Or, if you can increase your display's resolution temporarily, the window may show up enought for you to grab it and move it into view.

Sounds like it is displayed off screen somewhere.
