Artifacts Opening Pre-6.0 Projects -ACID Product Family

Subject:Artifacts Opening Pre-6.0 Projects Posted by: timbre4 Date:4/26/2006 7:04:02 PM Still getting started with ACID 6.0 but have some projects that started all the way back in 2.0! Most of that's retired these days. Had similar hurdles opening them and saving into 4.0 & 5.0 as they cam along. Specifically, when I open a 5.0 project sometimes the values seem to be read improperly. By that I mean a track that was clearly a One Shot is now a Loop? Project tempos changed in a couple cases. These surprises prevented me from entering some of my projects in the 5.1 contest because I couldn't deal with them all at the last minute. I just closed them and moved on to the next. In the process of opening maybe 35 ACID 5.0 acd files, had above issues with at least 10 of them. Also crashed 6.0 three times in the process. One of them revolved around repeated display of Rewire DLLs (!?) which I haven't even gotten into Reason on this PC as yet, so the references seemed invalid at this time. Don't get me wrong, I'm a diehard ACID user, love what I do with it and know we always have to move forward. Just wanted to share... Tim (ACID Planet: Pass4Human)
