Subject:Anyone use EMU1212m with AcidPro 6?

Curious if others are having strange problems like I am. See my previous post titled "I am having real issues with version 6" for details. Essentially, when I switch to ASIO4ALL driver from the EMU ASIO driver, most problems go away, but I don't have access to all my EMU input ports. However, LIVE5 and AcidPro5 work fine with my EMU ASIO driver. Any thoughts?

It's more than likely an issue with the drivers from the sounds of it. The only thing I can think of is to get in touch with Michael Tippach (for the ASIO4ALL drivers) or E-MU Systems (for the E-MU drivers).

I'm using an E-MU 1212M, and having some issues also.
I've updated the drivers to version 1.82, and it's working, but when I start the application, it informs me that I suddenly, don't have sufficient hardware to run Patchmix!? After a year!
Strange.
I hope I don't have problems after I finally get to install AP6, I'm battling that now! Can't even install it, and I've already uninstalled my previous version!

I am turning in my EMU for an RME product. I'm convinced I need a higher quality audio interface so i don't have to spend time on these creativity sapping issues. Hope your problems disappear soon.

Good move. A quick search on these forums will show that EMU is nothing but headaches from bad drivers. I could never recommend them. The best advice is to dump them as you have.

Its a shame, because the sound quality of the Emu cards is fantastic.

My Emu 0404 is fairly stable now, but the required Patchmix app is a little annoying and not entirely stable. ASIO4All is working well for me, but the Emu ASIO drivers are just terrible. What a way to ruin the reputation of a once-great company.

Cheers,

Randy

OK, its settled. I've ordered a Dakota Tango bundle. Found it at a great price on ebay. I may also go ahead and get the RME if I find one on ebay for a great price too.
