So I was on the site and went to look at pricing for the upgrade from Acid Pro (any version) to Acid Pro 6 and the price was $129...great i thought. I left the site and came back within 10 minutes and the price jumped to $199...what's going on? Also, somebody here on the forum mentioned they got the upgrade for $99! What gives? |

I ordered my copy from Safe Harbor for $99 - please keep in mind that it won't be in stock and shipping until sometime this week but I can't play with it right now anyway so the wait and $30 savings is ok with me :) EDIT (Here is the message I received from Safe Harbor on 4/7 regarding my order) This product was just released, and the upgrades are still on their way to us. We are hoping to have these begin shipping sometime next week, but we have yet to receive tracking information for our purchase orders, which would tell us their definitive ETA. As soon as we ship out your order we will email you with tracking information Message last edited on4/11/2006 5:57:21 PM byjmeredith. |

That's all well and good if you happened to come to this forum and see the post. However, when I ordered the product last Thursday (4/6) from the Sony product page I was charged $199. |

Awesome. Safe Harbor sounds like the way to go...what's the deal with double-pricing this product on your site Sony? It's very misleading...not sure if I'll trust to buy through you guys again. |

yeah, I am still waiting to hear from safeharbor. They were very nice on the phone yesterday, but said they only have the full version and not the upgrade yet. Be nice to get it this week. |

The double pricing is because the standard upgrade price is $199. There is also a discount price of $129 if you upgrade immediately. (I think it's the first 30 days, but don't remember right now.) This is an incentive price to get you buy right away rather than waiting. If you upgraded last week at $199, call customer support. There are usually very good about resolving that. The $99 price, as noted, is not from Sony. |

Guitar Center had it for $99. Just got mine yesterday. Not sure if that price is still good. |

By the way, I just looked at the Safe Harbour page Their $99 price ends April 30th. The Sony upgrade price lasts until May 31st. |

I was actually very happy with the upgrade pricing; 129.00 (99.00 is sweet though) I like the fact that Sony sent an email with a direct link to the spec/info page on Acid Pro 6 where the cart was available. It always feels good that they keep on top of their loyal customers and provide these updates ahead of the brick an mortar retail stores or other online entities. I love head starts! I like to be well informed of special upgrading and updates to sony software and they always come through email in a timely fashion. |

Although I am not pissed b/c I check this site EVERY SINGLE DAY!!! because I have no life!!! Anyhow, any of you who get your upgrade through SafeHarbor, keep us posted as if there are any weird things about the version you get (eg.no Kompakt ,or no NI/Sony sounds,or whatever) b/c $99 is a sweet deal. Thanks to all you SafeHarbor cats! Luces. |
