AP6: Dynamics Distortion with Synths -ACID Product Family

Whenever I try to insert either Graphic Dynamics or Multiband Dynamics in a synth effects chain, the audio in the project starts breaking up. I have tried this with both the DLS Soft Synth and the Kompakt. The audio will continue to be distorted even if I mute the synths. If I apply these two FX to an audio track in the same project, I do not have a problem. Also, curiously enough, I do not have this problem when I insert the Sound Forge Wave Hammer in the synth effects chain.
