Just curious if anyone has tried importing a multitract session into A6? For example, could you import a Vegas session that included volume, efx and panning envelopes (probably not), or would you need to render the session (trim all media) and import the rendered tracks one at time? Typically I would develop a session in Acid, then import to Vegas. Now that A6 has multitrack capabilities and better editing, doing the above seems like an interesting approach. drbam |

Hey drbam... Workflow wise you have to "trackalizer"[???] script to render out each track and export the project. Loop it from the start to finish.[ya I know alot of empty space to erase in acid.] Create your fx chains and label them appropriately from vegas and import them into acid where needed. I can't think of any other way around this.No idea what can be done via volume envelopes/pan... For large projects this will be a b!tch to do. But hey...how many times have we all listened to a mix and just shook our heads and erased and zeroed everything to start from scratch. Now that I have a Mackie MCU I go back to remix cause I want/love to not because I have to. If you haven't picked one up I highly recommend it. I have mine routed MCU>>>maudio midisport 2x2>>>PC usb...works great. Ed. |
