I've just done a simple test to set up an ozonic to control volume on track 1. It works to control the trim fine. When I set and enable latch (write) automation on the track and start play back the controller has no effect on the volume envelope. How is this supposed to be control surface support? There is also no way to control any plugins automation externally - even EQ. There is nothing about this in the read mes and known issues. S |

So it looks like the only way to record automation curves is by manipulating GUI controls, is this correct? Is there a planned fix for this? |

Are you using the Generic Control Device? Peter |

>>So it looks like the only way to record automation curves is by manipulating GUI controls, is this correct?<< No, this is not correct. If you are using the Generic Control surface driver, then you must assign a switch to place the surface control into Automation mode. By default, the surface control is in trim mode. In the Configure Generic Control dialog, locate the "View Function group" combo box. Select hte "Assign" group here. You will see Host commands: "Toggle Automation Mode" "Automation Mode On" "Automation Mode Off" Assign a button/note on your controller to either "Toggle Automation Mode" OR Automation Mode On and Automation Mode Off. You then toggle the automation mode of your controller using these controls. Peter |

What if you are using Mackie emulation? |

You have to determine what the device that emulates the Mackie uses for the "Automation On" button of the Mackie Control. Peter |

Oops! Using Mackie emulation is easy, as you say. I am using a Yamaha 01X, and it works fine. I just forgot about the "Automation record" button. |

Ah, That seems to work. Cool! How to I control EQ then? Thanks S |

The Generic Control Device does not permit control of FX parameters. You will need a Mackie Control or a device that emulates one AND that provides a display. Peter |
