im looking for a similar setup to digidesigns digi 002. i need at least 4 ins.. and i want the hardware to conrol the softare. i know there is the mackie... but i want inputs as well. i was looking at the tascam 1881 i believe... that looked like just the ticket.. would that work with acid/vegas? i hate using my mouse, i like using hardware when it comes to recording and mixing! very important! anyone have any suggestions? thanks! pj |

Check out the M-Audio ProjectMix I/O. I’ve been thinking of picking one of these up. It looks like the Mackie with inputs. ~jr |

looks like just the thing... how would it intagrate with acid/vegas? would you manually have to map everything out? could scrub scrub, mute mute etc....? thanks! pj |

ACID does not support scrubbing or shuttling, so these functions would be a no-op in ACID. If the Maudio hardware supports Mackie Control protocol, then ACID can use it directly. If not, then you will have to build a control mapping using the Generic Control Device in ACID. Peter |
