Subject:Date/Time prevents Acid installing properly!

(Edit - I have written to Support, but someone here may know the answer ...) After installing Acid Pro 6 trial on my laptop, I opened it and went to complete the registration process on another computer, and when I connected to Sony's site I got this message: System Date Error The machine you generated this .htm file from is not properly set to the current date. If your system's date is not accurate, the activation code generated will not properly unlock the application. You will need to modify the date on the machine you generated this .htm file, and then re-run the registration process, and generate a new .htm file. I returned to the laptop, and to my surprise found the Date set to May instead of April. I corrected this, but trying to open Acid again brought the same message. So I uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled with the date set correctly, but trying to open Acid brings this error message: "Your computer date settings appear to be incorrect. It is either set to the wrong date now, or was set to the wrong date at the time you installed the software." The only option on the error window is "OK" which closes the window down, so I can't get into the program. Presumably something's been left in the Registry (?!) Can anyone please help me find this so I can get going? Thanks. Message last edited on4/6/2006 2:52:16 AM byPeterWright. |

Same boat here. Installed and for some reason my Computer's Date was wrong so I got the same error. Reset my Date/Time and Acid would not launch. Uninstalled/Reinstalled and now there is NO TRIAL. It asks for a serial #. I would much rather check out the Trial before dropping the cash. |

Well, I haven't got an answer with the trial version, but my problem has disappeared with the arrival of the "boxed" (bagged) version on DVD - this time the registration went without a hitch. Pretty good service - ordered 6 days ago, and arrived today from Madison to Perth, Western Oz. |
