Not sure but it's been this way for the past few years :) They also have the Sony Sound Series 1-5 and 6-10 for $229 each |

I paid $173 from Sony (including UK Tax and shipping.) I tried to by it from 3 different shops in central London (Sony Media Centre included) but none of them had it in stock. It is annoying that we have to pay almost twice as much for the same product here in the UK. Sony is supposed to be an international company but this isn't the case anywhere outside the US. :( The upgrade is cheap, even at the price I paid, but some parity would be a good principle. |

SafeHarbor will charge minimum of $40 for S&S, compared to Sony's $20. On the other hand Sony charges VAT, but most probably you'd need to pay that in any case when parcel ends up with customs. 100% download-option would've suited me the best, though... And yes, it was $173 for me here in Finland also. But EURO to $ is still favorable. |

Has anybody got their copy from Safe Harbour? Everything go smooth? You get all the same extras as from Sony right? How do third party vendors know you are upgrading? do you just need a valid # from a previous version for the software to work? BY THE WAY, I won a copy of the Drums from the Big Room loop collection, that I am not going to use. If anyone wants it, I'm selling it for $99US and I'll use that to upgrade. It's a five cd set of loops. my email is filmworks ++++AT===== gmail %$##$%dot$#$# $##$#$com |

Safe Harbor contacted me today - they actually don't have it in stock yet. (should be getting their shipment next week). Not a big deal for me because I can't play with it right now anyway :( and according to their website and the people I spoke to on the phone, it does come with Kompakt and the 1,000 loops (if those are the extras you're referring to) HTH EDIT: Upgrade is the usual have the previous version on your PC/serial # handy process just as if you had ordered directly from Sony Message last edited on4/7/2006 3:36:16 PM byjmeredith. |
