I have been using a full version of ACID 2.0 but, received XMC bundled with my Vegas movie studio. Where does XMC stand in the hirearchy of ACID software?

ACID XMC is probably pretty similar to the ACID Music version that was available back in the 2.0 days. However, i'm sure there are many new things that have been added since XMC is based on the ACID 6 code.

You can have both installed and running simultaneously on your computer. Probably the only difficulty will be that they may not open each other's .acd files, so you may want to store your XMC projects in a separate folder.

You can see the ACID Family in the comparison chart. ACID XMC is more like the free version (ACID Express) with the addition of the beatmapper, metronome, CD extract/recording, and unlimited tracks. That’s it. No MIDI recording or VST/VSTi, DirectX plug-ins.
