Hey again. I was wondering if anybody here is using the Betamonkey stuff and how do you like it? I am mostly interested in the usable nature of the multi samples that they provide on some of their later releases, kick drums in particular. I have previewed some stuff off their site and it sounds decent, but the folder layout looks challenging. It seems descriptive enough, but the names are pretty long. I know they pride themselves on "affordable" libraries so please don't mention how GREAT they are for the money,I realize that they have good deals. Also,I got my hands on a few freebies from one of those music computer mags...and most of those loops had a lot of transient wierdeness and they didn't stretch too well either and I am just wondering if this is common with their stuff in general. I don't really know anybody close to home using these,so I am reaching out to you guys. Thanks, luces. |

I have some of the earlier Beta Monkey music loops like Drum Werks Volume I, II, III, IV, & Alt and Modern Rock Drum Loops. There is no MIDI on these disks anywhere. These are live drums that Chris recorded in the studio. I have come across an occasional glitch in a loop here and there (i.e., some extra silence or a non-perfect loop point) but it is very rare. In general these are very good loops with some awesome drum playing. I can’t say how the new stuff is. ~jr Message last edited on4/2/2006 7:29:39 PM byJohnnyRoy. |
