I use Sound Forge 7. Anyone know if there is there a way to set a preference so that when I time-stretch a track it automatically goes to "Tempo" instead of time or whatever? I often find myself time-stretching a batch of files and it gets a little annoying having to change the drop-down to Tempo over and over. |

Try saving off your starting point as a preset. Run the preset once against some junk data. The next time you to a time stretch, the popup should open to your preset. |

thanks for the suggestion, mpd. i tried that and unless i did something wrong, it seems that it only saved the percentage change in the preset i created, and still defaulted to "time" instead of "bpm" on the drop-down menu. this could be helpful if i were converting a bunch of files at the same tempo to a new tempo that also was the same for every file, but unfortunately doesn't seem to get to my goal of having "bpm" as the default on the drop-down. anyone else have any ideas? |

If you have the view set to BPM it should default to that. It sounds like your view is using Time. |
